My journey to becoming a psychiatric mental health provider originated from the need to provide psychiatric mental health services to all persons. I worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting for five years and decided to advance my career by obtaining my master’s degree in nursing - psychiatry. Hello! I'm a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing, specializing in psychiatry. I'm qualified to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, OCD, panic disorder, and PTSD.

I believe in treating each person holistically — considering the mental, physical, environmental, and social factors that shape your wellbeing. My approach is non-judgmental, because I understand there is no shame or guilt in seeking help for mental health. Many of the clients I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and anxious — and helping them move through that is exactly why I do this work. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, shopping, and trying new foods.

Healing isn't linear and I understand that deeply, both professionally and personally. As a dual -certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and an attorney, I bring a unique, comprehensive perspective to care. But more than titles, I bring lived experience.

I come from a strong nursing background, with over 10 years of experience working with clients experiencing changes to their mental and physical health in both outpatient and inpatient settings. My educational background includes a Master of Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston, Cizik School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
