Hi, I’m Raven, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s complexities and move toward healing and growth. I believe in creating a warm, genuine connection where you feel safe, understood, and supported. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, I work alongside you to help you build insight, foster resilience, and make meaningful changes that enhance your overall well-being and quality of life.
If you're navigating a major life transition, processing trauma, or carrying the weight of military service, you don't have to do it alone. I'm a therapist based in Central Florida with over 30 years in the behavioral health field, and I specialize in helping people find their footing again — whether that's adjusting to a new season of life, healing from a difficult experience, or working through the complexities of relationships. I have a particular passion for working with older adults, and I also provide military resilience support for veterans and service members.
I have worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric stabilization, homeless prevention, and integrated healthcare. These experiences have allowed me to develop an eclectic skill-set with a person-centered approach. I love being a social worker and having the privilege of helping others heal and grow.
I often work with clients through:
-Post traumatic stressors disorder (PTSD) or other impacts of trauma
-Depression
-Anxiety-Grief/Loss
-Improving self-esteem
-Processing family dynamics
I utilize mindfulness techniques in my session to help clients slowly be more present in their experience and as part of the coping skills we can learn to manage emotions.
Hi! I'm a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Florida with three years of experience helping individuals, families, and children identify their strengths and achieve their goals. I am originally from Texas and received my Master's in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Prairie View A&M. I enjoyed working as an elementary school counselor for 8 years in Hillsborough County where I passionately supported children in their academic, social, and emotional well-being. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, relationships, life transitions, as well as ADHD and ASD strategies for all ages.
I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I work primarily with adults and specialize in health psychology, using a biopsychosocial perspective to understand the connection between physical health, emotions, and overall lifestyle. I specialize in supporting adults navigating Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Sleep disorder, and Stress management. I provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment where clients can build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.
I am trained in the research-based Gottman Method for couples counseling, Level 1 and 2. I'm also EMDR certified for trauma resolution counseling. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in good standing in NJ and FL. I'm fluent in English and Spanish. My personal experiences ignited in me a desire to grow and to help others feel empowered, supported, and hopeful. My professional experiences have fueled my passion to heal and help people achieve the life they desire. I love working with couples and helping partners rebuild connection and trust. Please note that most insurance plans do not cover couples therapy, as it is not considered a medically necessary service. For this reason, couples sessions are offered on a private-pay basis.
